The Supersize Glitch is a glitch that appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. It involves the use of Yoshi's Egg Lay on certain giant characters under certain circumstances. The glitch was later fixed in an update to Super Smash Bros. For 3DS.
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]
- Can Perform During: Regular matches
- Needed Characters: Yoshi (or Kirby after inhaling Yoshi) and Jigglypuff
- Needed Stages: Any stage with regenerating terrain where Jigglypuff can perform the Puff Up Glitch.
After Jigglypuff activates the Puff Up Glitch, Yoshi (or Kirby with Yoshi's ability) can then swallow it with Egg Lay. When Jigglypuff comes back out, however, it will be much bigger before, and can be repeatedly swallowed until it basically covers the entire stage. KOing Jigglypuff will end the glitch.
In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS[]
- Can perform during: 10-Man Smash, possibly 100-Man and 3-Minute Smash as well.
- Needed Character: Yoshi
In 10-Man Smash, after the first nine opponents are defeated a larger-than-normal Yoshi will spawn as is usual for all matches. However, if Yoshi performs Egg Lay on the Big Yoshi, the Big Yoshi will come out even larger than before. Like Jigglypuff, Big Yoshi can increase in size an infinite number of times. The only way to end this glitch is to KO Big Yoshi and thus end the match. This glitch was fixed in update 1.0.4.
