The Parasol is a poor throwing weapon, as it will open shortly after being thrown, making it drift slowly towards the opponent, but it travels extremely far when thrown up or down as it doesn't open. The Parasol will automatically open if the player holding it is falling through the air, even after a third jump, greatly aiding horizontal recovery. The Parasol allows a Parasol Waddle Dee to sway left and right from the sky until the Waddle Dee touches the floor. On land, a Parasol Waddle Dee will harmless walk around the area, jumping and floating down again from time to time. Any fighter who jumps on the Parasol, on land or in the air, bounces upwards, dealing no damage to the Waddle Dee nor the Parasol itself. If a Parasol Waddle Dee is defeated, the Parasol will fly upwards dealing rapid minor damage to fighters who touch it. It can also be defeated.
