Trivia

  • The store image for the Akira outfit features a Mii Brawler battling a Metal Wii Fit Trainer. Her metal appearance here is a reference to Dural, the final boss of every single Virtua Fighter game to date (with Dural's appearance always being that of a metallic woman).
  • Ryu's reveal trailer ends with him clashing with a Brawler dressed in the Heihachi outfit, referencing the earlier crossover fighting game Street Fighter X Tekken. Mega Man and Pac-Man were also playable in that game, abelit with Mega Man in a more comical form and Pac-Man riding a hollowed out Mokujin.
  • The store page for the Lloyd outfit features a shot of a Mii performing the Chakram special move while wearing the outfit, referencing Lloyd's close friend Colette, who also fought with Chakram as both slashing and throwing weapons. Another shot shows a Lloyd Mii with brown eyes standing next to another Mii dressed in the full Lloyd set but with blue eyes. The blue-eyed Lloyd Mii may be a reference to Decus from the sequel Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, who disguised himself as Lloyd, and had blue eyes in his undisguised form.
