Palutena holds her staff in the air and announces "Heavenly Light!" as the beam materializes. She can hold the beam of light for three seconds before disappearing. During this time, any opponents within the beam will be inflicted 1% with no knockback or flinching. The move also produces windboxes that push opponents far away from Palutena, and can be absorbed
Heavenly Light has no offensive purpose due to its high ending lag and no knockback, though it can be used to steal KO's from others due to its high vertical range. Because it can be absorbed, Heavenly Light can be a useful healer for Ness, Lucas, and the Mii Gunner, and a quick method of filling up Oil Panic for Mr. Game and Watch.
Heavenly Light is one of the many Powers from Kid Icarus: Uprising. It is usable in both single player and multiplayer. In Kid Icarus: Uprising, using Heavenly Light would surround the player in a light that causes constant damage to nearby enemies. The surrounding light is small so it is only useful in close-combat which means it would be worse when using far-range weapons like the Staff than when using close range weapons like the Claws.
