Punch-Out!! (1) Flag of North America This little boxer from the Punch-Out!! series makes up in heart what he lacks in height. He wasn't afraid to take on the boxing champs, and he's not afraid of the Nintendo stars. In Smash Bros., he packs a serious punch. When his KO Meter fills up, wade in and trigger a devastating uppercut.
Flag of Europe The little guy from Punch-Out!! has come a long way since his humble beginnings fighting the almost literal boxing giants. Above his damage display, you'll notice he has a little meter that fills up as he fights. When it's full, you'll see a flashing "KO" there. That means you can unleash a devastating uppercut!

Punch-Out!! (2) Flag of North America No matter his opponent, Little Mac always puts his best fist forward. He enters a charge state before unleashing his Straight Lunge special—you can unleash it while charging by pressing the button again. He won't flinch while charging. At max charge, the launching power of this move is scary!
Flag of Europe Little Mac always puts his best fist forward, especially when you use Straight Lunge! You start by charging, then unleash the punch whenever you press the button again. Charge it to the max and its launching power is formidable! Also, attacks won't make you flinch while you're charging or once you've fully charged the move.

Punch-Out!! (2) Flag of North America This Final Smash turns Little Mac into a hulking monster of a man. In Punch-Out!! for Wii, Little Mac could take this form by building up the gauge with some well-timed blows. In this game, it seriously powers up his attacks and makes him even faster. He'll completely dominate on the ground, but air battles are outside his weight class.
Flag of Europe This Final Smash turns Little Mac into a hulking monster of a man. In Punch-Out!! for Wii, Little Mac could take this form by building up the gauge with some well-timed punches. In this game, it seriously powers up his attacks and makes him even faster. He'll completely dominate on the ground, but he's still not all that great in the air.
Doc Louis Random / Clear "The King Strikes Back" event.
DocLouisTrophyWiiU
Punch-Out!! (1) Flag of North America Every great boxer needs a capable teacher. Little Mac lucked out with former famous heavyweight Doc Louis. If he's not eating his favorite chocolate bar or making jokes, he's sparring with Little Mac. He'll gladly take a knockout blow from Little Mac if it will help the boxer make it big!
Flag of Europe Behind every great boxer is a first-class coach, and energetic former heavy-weight champion Doc Louis is Little Mac's. Now and then, he'll put his chocolate bar down, his game face on, and spar with Little Mac, throwing punches just like in his glory days. No one's happier to take a knockout blow from Little Mac than Doc Louis!

Glass Joe Random
GlassJoeTrophyWiiU
Punch-Out!! (1) Flag of North America It's either very brave or very silly for a boxer to have a name so close to "glass jaw." When this French boxer takes a serious hit, he'll see croissants instead of stars. To his credit, Glass Joe never gives up—he's lost more bouts than most have fought in, and yet he never surrenders.
Flag of Europe Glass Joe might not sound exactly like "glass jaw", but you've got to admit, it takes guts to go into the ring with a name that tells everyone your weak point. Knock him out and...it'll rain croissants. Weird things aside, there's one thing you can say about Glass Joe: he's a man who doesn't give up, no matter how many times he loses.

Punch-Out!! (2) Flag of North America This 36-year-old Turkish boxer is in the prime of his career. He often tries to intimidate his opponent before a match even starts. He'll snort through his nose before charging his foe, a move called the Bull Charge. If he lands this blow, you can be sure Little Mac will hit the mat.
Flag of Europe A 36-year-old Turkish boxer in the prime of his career. His name hints at his bullish nature. In the match itself, you'll see him snort through his nostrils before using his special move, the Bull Charge. Little Mac's going to need to keep all his wits about him to avoid being bowled over by that one.

Punch-Out!! (2) Flag of North America This American boxer from Philadelphia is known for his speedy punches and brash style. He takes his name from a children's tale about a mythical character who gave sleep to people. When you face him in the ring, make sure you're the one sending him off to dreamland.
Flag of Europe This American boxer from Philadelphia is known for his speedy punches and brash, straightforward style. His ring name comes from a German folk tale about a fairy who makes people fall asleep. When you face him in the ring, make sure he's the one who boards the express train to dreamland.

Von Kaiser Random
VonKaiserTrophyWiiU
Punch-Out!! (1) Flag of North America The oldest boxer Little Mac faces, Von Kaiser is still a formidable foe at 42 years old. Despite getting a new haircut, he hasn't lost the habit of shaking his head before throwing a punch. Be careful, though—right after getting knocked down, he'll focus himself and launch a spinning punch at you!
Flag of Europe At 42, this German boxer is the oldest on the circuit. He may have changed his haircut, but nothing's changed about his habit of shaking his head right before he throws a punch. If you knock him down, he'll come back at you with a spinning punch as soon as he gets up again, so stay on your toes!

Piston Hondo Random
PistonHondoTrophyWiiU
Punch-Out!! (1) Flag of North America This classy Japanese boxer bows before every match. He's so polite, in fact, that he cues you to his oncoming attack by twitching his eyebrows. Landing solid hits on him will put him in a daze. He must have forgotten to eat before the match—instead of little birdies, Piston sees sushi floating around his head!
Flag of Europe This classy Japanese boxer bows before every match. He's so polite, in fact, that he lets you know when he's about to attack by twitching his eyebrows. Land solid hits on him, and sushi will fly out from...somewhere... It's just an illusion, though, so you can't eat it. Sad times.

Don Flamenco Random
DonFlamencoTrophyWiiU
Punch-Out!! (2) Flag of North America This passionate boxer from Madrid fights with a style reminiscent of a flamenco dancer. His special move Rose Flurry is a burst of hooks, followed by a right-handed uppercut. You'll do more than make his hair stand on end if you land a powerful blow, and the combination of anger and embarrassment will really get him worked up.
Flag of Europe This passionate boxer from Madrid fights in a style reminiscent of – yep, you guessed it – flamenco dancing. His favourite move, Rose Flurry, is a combo of hooks followed by a lethal uppercut. He's at his most dangerous, though, if you knock a certain something off his head. Ohhh, yes – that really gets him worked up!

King Hippo Random
KingHippoTrophyWiiU
Punch-Out!! (1) Flag of North America If King Hippo was the star of Punch-Out!!, his size would completely hide his opponent from view. As it is, this big boxer can be defeated if you can just get him on the ground; he's unable to get back up under his own power. If you get through his defenses, you'll have him dreaming of his home on Hippo Island.
Flag of Europe Do you think the spectators sitting behind King Hippo can even see Little Mac at all? This fighter's so heavy, he can't even get up onto his own two feet by himself! Knock him down once, and the fight's in the bag. You just need to wear him down, and before you know it, you'll have him on the floor dreaming of his South Pacific home.

Great Tiger Random
GreatTigerTrophyWiiU
Punch-Out!! (2) Flag of North America Great Tiger is a magician and a boxer, hailing from India. He's worked more than a few tricks into his style, floating about and disappearing as he pleases. The audience probably didn't realize they were getting a combination magic/boxing show when they sat down! Try not to let his cloning trick fool you too badly...
Flag of Europe Great Tiger is an Indian boxer and a skilled magician. He can float in the air, disappear, make copies of himself – it all seems just a little bit unfair. The audience might start to wonder whether they came to watch a magic show instead of a boxing match! Maybe they should just count themselves lucky that they can see both at once.

Soda Popinski Clear Crazy Orders after 12 or more turns.
SodaPopinskiTrophyWiiU
Punch-Out!! (2) Flag of North America This Russian boxer just can't get enough fizzy soda. He takes cases with him everywhere, even into the ring! He'll down a bottle before a match and even try for sips during your fight! He's not just thirsty—that soda helps him recover from your blows! It's best to interrupt him, but he probably won't appreciate that.
Flag of Europe A Russian boxer who loves the delicious taste of soda. He brings whole cases of it to the ringside to drink before each match. And, er...during matches as well. In fact, even after he's been knocked out, he still gropes around for his soda bottle! Try not to let him drink too much, though – that soda helps him recover from your blows!
