Reset Bomb Forest (初期化爆弾の森, Initialization Bomb Forest) is a stage appearing in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and returning in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It is based on the eleventh chapter of Kid Icarus: Uprising; Viridi, Goddess of Nature.

Design[]

The players start off on a war zone-like area. It is a flat stone stage with a gap in the middle of it. Above the gap is a wooden platform, with another platform on its right side and above that another smaller platform.

All these platforms are attached to the ruined building behind it. The stage depicts the war between humans over the Wish Seed, with players fighting atop the ruins of a castle. At some point, Viridi herself appears, and her signature gadget, the Reset Bomb, will drop from the heavens, completely changing the landscape into the Reset Bomb Forest. In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, her appearance uses a static art. However, in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, she moves, just like in her Kid Icarus: Uprising incarnation.

After the Reset Bomb is detonated in the background the stage vanishes, and the fighters fight on an invisible platform with the lower blast becoming temporarily inaccessible.

In the aftermath, the fighters are inside the titular forest that the Reset Bomb created, and with what appears to be the ruins of the castle can be used as erratic platforms, with the upper-left portion being destructible. A Lurchthorn can be seen flying near the lower blast line, Any fighter that touches it will take damage and moderate vertical knockback.

The Reset Bomb Forest is a randomized field of stone platforms scattered all over the stage, with some dark trees and the red aura in the background, and then the stage returns to its first form.

Origin[]

Viridi, Goddess of Nature is the eleventh chapter of the storyline in Kid Icarus: Uprising, featuring a great war between two human nations to gain control of the Wish Seed, which was actually nothing more than a false rumor spread by Hades. Taking place at a dreary battleground, Pit will have to face off against the demented goddess of nature, Viridi, who has unleashed an unspeakable force upon the human race.

Songs[]

  • Wrath of the Reset Bomb
  • Dark Pit's Theme

Trophy Description[]

Reset Bomb[]

Created as a secret weapon of the Forces of Nature, this item possesses devastating power. When it is detonated, it wipes out all signs of human civilization, returning the area to nature. The thick brambles and jungle that are created make the area all but inaccessible to humans.

Trivia[]

  • When playing on this stage, the track Wrath of the Reset Bomb syncs with the events on the stage; as a result, pausing the game causes the track to stop playing until unpaused. This only happens on the normal version of the stage and not the omega version.
  • The 2d tier in this stage is largely destructible.
