Dr. Mario is a puzzle game similar to Tetris. In the game, players play as the titular character and use vitamins to destroy three different colored viruses. This game was re-made to the Game Boy Advance as NES Classics: Dr. Mario.

Tetris & Dr. Mario[]

A remake of the original, packaged along with an updated Tetris. A mode was introduced, where bouts of both games could be played one after the other.

The series' main protagonist, Dr. Mario, is a hidden character, serving as a clone of Mario. Dr. Mario's trademark item, the Megavitamin, is used as his Standard Special Move; it is also used in his taunt. Also, one of his theme songs, Fever, is included in the game.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl[]

Dr. Mario was removed from Brawl as a playable character, likely due to being a clone. Dr. Mario and the viruses in the games are stickers in the game, and his song used in Super Smash Bros. Melee is used in the PictoChat stage in Brawl, as well as other of these, Chill.
